This enchanting room was inspired by the ancient native Wintu Indian tribe of this Northern California region that made the McCloud River their sacred praying grounds.
The Wintu suite is our most spacious room, and a favorite among most our guest’s that are searching for a very special and luxurious suite. The lodge style design of this room invokes an inspiring feeling of awe while surrounded by natural beauty. Original wood V-board covers the walls, and two dormers face the mountain. A custom, hand-crafted king size log bed hangs suspended from the ceiling by ropes, and a cozy rock fireplace creates an inviting atmosphere for those gathered together in their own private seating area. A separate XL twin daybed makes this suite suitable for couples traveling with a small child.
The spacious bathroom is tiled in smooth black river pebbles and surrounds the chromo-therapy whirlpool tub with a cascading waterspout. The sink is carved out of granite to represent the obsidian so commonly found in the volcanic area, and sits atop an old growth wood vanity. A rustic chandelier sits overhead by the whirlpool tub creating a serene ambience. The shower is surrounded in the same black river pebble, and there is a separate water closet for privacy. This suite may comfortably accommodate up to three guests. The Wintu suite has a luxurious and rustic ambience meant for relaxing and serene moments. |
